These tracks show what 'that the sensors have noticed in the last 24 hours. Their name "Drum" is derived from the records of seismographs that are done in pen on a sheet attached to a rotating cylinder. There are other tracks, those acquired in real time. They are much more detailed but are visible only in the computer data acquisition of seismographs. The earthquakes of a certain intensity (of magnitude greater than 2 / 3) are clearly visible in the drum. To locate the point of hypocenter and epicenter of an earthquake requires three sensors oriented. On this page you can see the three sensors working simultaneously.
By processing the data and using the software WINQUAKE you can locate the estimated point of origin of the earthquake.
